Rules for payment of donations

The balsis.lv website is managed by the Foundation for the Development of Music and Arts, “Balsis” (hereinafter referred to as “BALSIS”), registration No. 40008045456, address Plostu Street 24 – 45, Riga.

These rules govern and apply to each donation you make on this site.

Donations

BALSIS will use your donations as part of their stated goals.

All payments should be made through the internet banks available on the site, i.e. Swedbank, Citadele banka or SEB banka, or through a payment card using the services of Swedbank platform.

Confirming that you want to continue the donation, the transaction will be processed using the payment service provider Swedbank.

Illegal use of cards

If you suspect that fraud or payment has occurred with a counterfeit or lost/stolen card, please inform the issuing bank immediately.

Data

When making a donation, it is necessary to specify: the given name, surname, e-mail address, as well as, when donating with a payment card, information regarding a credit card or debit card. This information will be used to process your donation. It is your responsibility to ensure that the data provided is correct.

Your data will not be passed on to third parties other than those who process the payments.

When submitting the payment information, it will be transferred to the payment provider Swedbank, which will securely collect and process your payment data in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

The information submitted by you may be published in the donor list. If you do not want the information about you to be made public when making a donation, you must select the “donate anonymously” option.

When you pay the donation, you confirm that you have met these rules and recognise them as binding for you.

By agreeing with these rules, you also agree that we use and protect your personal information in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

You can use statutory rights at any time to influence the processing of your personal data, including to delete personal data.

Closing issues

These rules may be amended. The current and updated version will be published on the website.

The rules and the legal relations resulting therefrom shall be governed by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia. All disputes relating to the enforcement of the rules should be settled by mutual negotiation. If it is not possible to reach an agreement within a reasonable time, they may be referred to the Court of Justice of the Republic of Latvia in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
